Embedding Anti-Racism
Course Introduction
Many organisations are considering how to embed long-term, sustainable change in terms of race equity and inclusive cultures. There comes a point at which it is crucial to develop a shared awareness and language, to embed the concept of anti-racism and to enable and empower colleagues to become allies and upstanders. This requires practical skills and approaches that will support your colleagues in making better choices about how they work together, to foster a more inclusive culture.
What will participants learn?
This session will help attendees to understand why anti-racism
and upstander behaviour are business imperatives. We will
support participants to increase their understanding of
structural and systemic racism. We quickly get to the heart of
some of the terminology and definitions and create clarity.
Recognisable examples and scenarios are discussed and we
invite input from the participants to make it real. Practical
tips and actions are shared to help combat racism, address
everyday exclusion and step forward as allies and upstanders.
This workshop is open to and relevant to all colleagues,
of any seniority.
